Annemarie Morse is an experienced wine connoisseur who has been actively involved in the wine industry for over 10 years. She has worked with wine in various capacities including sales, wine education, and as an assistant winemaker. Her fascination with wine led to a master’s degree in enology from Cornell University in 2010. She then pursued and completed the Court of Master Sommeliers’ Introductory Course and Examination. Her thirst for wine knowledge also led her to become a certified wine judge.
Above all, Annemarie is a passionate wine educator who seeks to share her knowledge and experience in both formal and informal settings. She has become a well-respected and ardent wine educator for Cornell students, faculty, and staff, as well as the general public on topics encompassing wine education, appreciation, winemaking, judging, business meal etiquette, wine service, and food and wine pairing. Five years ago Annemarie formed the Finger Lakes chapter of the American Wine Society in order to share her wine knowledge with others in her community. She connects with wine novices and devotees alike through numerous published articles on the wine and food experience. Her love of food and wine within particular cultures has led to exploring different regions of the world in order to gain a better appreciation of how they enhance each other.
Annemarie welcomes the opportunity to travel the world over to explore wine and food at its source and to share these experiences with others. The highlight for her always comes through translating her experiences into a richer understanding and appreciation of wine among wine lovers of all degrees. She looks forward to tipping her glass to future adventures in wine regions with new friends!
